Invitation to attend Free Class.

You will receive an email inviting your child to attend a free class from the month of January to March. The Date of the beginning of the free class will be informed you over the telephone and by E-Mail. We are a non-selective school but we do assess potential pupils to determine their current academic level and how we can help them to fulfill their potential.

Those entering either our Nursery or Reception year group will spend time with the Head of Nursery, pre & Primary Teachers.  The session is informal; generally lasts approximately 30 minutes and its purpose is to ensure children will thrive at The Cambridge School. Children wishing to enter in either Year 1 or Year 2 will spend a day in school.  They will participate in classroom activities and will also complete assessments in both English and mathematics with our Head of Nursery, Pre & Primary Teachers.

Children wishing to enter Years 3 to 8 will also spend the whole day with us and take part in normal class activities. They will complete assessments in both English and mathematics with a member of the admissions team.

Lunch and snacks will of course be provided for all children with prior discussion with parents

The Cambridge School is committed to securing equality of opportunity through the creation of an environment in which individuals are treated on the sole basis of their relevant merits and abilities. Parents are required to disclose their knowledge of any specific learning difficulty, behavioral issue, disability or medical issue relating to their child on registration and to provide copy of any assessments that have occurred. We also require details of any language issues recognizing that for some children English is an Additional Language (EAL). Failure to disclose and provide details could lead to the withdrawal of an offer of place.
